Cozy Cloud in Scotland

While it might be sometimes gray and wetly in Scotland, this house does not fall behind because of it's unmingled and neutral colours. In fact, it has a lot of background light, from the walls.

Be surprised by the use of patterns. Notice how cerebrally placed the earth tones are. It's all vibrant and avant-garde, and ultimately cozy. Very bauhauish, very cool.

Going rural in Girona

Colour is the key to give life to these rough spaces.

The spaces of this dwelling are incredible. Something primitive that it's extremely captivating. The way the light penetrates makes it feel cavernous, raw. It even seems a bit creepy. But you must believe that these uninhabited photos don't exalt at all.

Simply put: cards, snacks & wine.

Just imagine, at night, filled with friends having a nice tardy barbecue, after a long day with the mediterranean...

Home is where the art is

This house is deliciously raw. Belongs to Mr. John Parker, founder of Format Furniture in Melbourne. As you can see, he has this thing for design collecting, and to display them in his own dwelling as if was a museum.

Is that Corbusier armchair melting?... It's a pouf, still counts!
The walls are very luminous and perfect to highlight his pieces, even the utilitarian ones. After the jump, you can notice how the shelves go along with this logic, super-thin and white. Also noticeable, is that ultra sexy shower space!...

Wow! 10 Baths with Style!

Bathrooms are cool, indeed! Best served on the rocks (take a look at those marbles!) with comfortable objects, better colour combos, and you can even wall-decorate them, of course. Carpets on the floor, the ceiling with a sky...

We got 10 samples for you. Take a close look to these good morning rooms. The prettier they are, the prettier you'll be!

Happy 20th Birthday, Design House Stockholm!

20 years of domestic design envisioned by the swedish Design House Stockholm, renowned by a minimal and bold range of products, since 1992 to be precise. You remember Harri Koskinen's Block Lamp? They took that one, and the rest of the family, for a walk indoors. Inside a beautiful house, located in the historical center of their city, The Hallwyl House.

It's really interesting to see how two different stories intertwine together in these pictures. A clever design posing on one side, and a luxurious mishmash of several ancient styles, on the other.

Living Museum Room

Something grand is going on here, in this NY living room... Not really sure... If it's the corinthian columns, the height of the room... But being able to "clutter" the interior like this is grand enough. Art is everywhere, even in unexpected places.

But the most majestic of all is the incredible view, I mean, just look at it (after the jump)!

Colour Chunks

Painting the house with the right colours is an accomplishment. And it's one that pays off well! Follow this example, located at north London. Multiple colour blocks over white. You can't go terribly wrong with that, as long as you're brave enough to go with that formula. Only then you can start the puzzle action. Most of the times, using white and greys will glue all things together.

Sometimes you just have to say no to the eternally faded combinations, and start thinking about the colours you really love. Show some attitude first, think about subtle more later!

In the Food for Love - AvroKO Studio

This studio have been building quite an impressive reputation in the restaurant industry. They can deliver it! They start right from the scratch with the architecture planning, fill the restaurants with customised furniture, the best decorative pieces, and present them with brilliant graphic design in outstanding finesse.

They can carefully throw in romantic spotlights, and pick up the right colours, because all these pictures can give nothing less than the precise atmosphere for that perfect gluttony session.

Right after the jump you can see more eat out imagery and a bonus.

Singing the blues in Alentejo

Just amazing how it sits on this idyllic set. No surprise as this home is, hands down, located in one of the most beautiful places in the world. And this house simply sums up some of the best quality details you can find in the neighbourhood houses of Comporta, in Portugal.

Here you'll find plenty of good ideas, but it's important to notice how the white makes it so much better and easy. It lightens up for the eyes and refreshes the interiors, but it also bonds all the colours together, in a more playful way.

Share a bed with chic, in Lisbon

Have you ever visited Lisbon? Now there's one more good reason why you should do so. The Independente hostel is sited in the heart of the city, near everything you absolutely can't miss. Prices are for everyone, with or without backpack.

You can also choose to taste Lisbon, or spend awhile with a storyteller, by visiting the The Decadente bar, in that same site. Plus you'll be extra motivated and inspired with the romantic interiors. All the details were recued from the local aesthetics, which are tremendously beautiful, and will boost the love affair between you and the city.

Tree House

With all that green outside being invited to play with us, it almost feels like a tree house for grown ups!

A smart move to include all those powerful flowers to the set. It all seems freshened and airy. Also, after the jump, you can see a nicely tiled bathroom. A good example of what you can achieve by choosing a strong pattern. That attitude also shows up in the stairs... Nice one Tac Studios!

The Acting Furniture

Incredible what one can achieve in collectionism. Mr. Alketa Pazis got the most wonderful collection of avant-garde furniture, posing and rehearsing in his showroom, in Athens. It seems that all these objects have the most enviable cinematographic résumé, participating in more than 900 movies. Incredible!

You can definitely get that fictional mystique feeling just by looking at them! Also these divas look incredibly good for their age, having in mind they were collected between the years 1900 and 1950.

Ideas for the wall - Marta Penter

Undoubtedly great for your home interiors is to give them a wall treatment. Knowing where to place them, and investing that time to get the right pieces can give a slight headache.

From Porto Alegre, Brazil, Marta Penter produces these beautiful works of art. We love the light on them and the themes are so joyfully light and warm, despite the almost absence of colour. Definitely a great add to your living room.KE3H5RYA58HE

Between the olive trees of Arraiolos, Portugal

Not far away from Lisbon, nor that far from the beach, and just a few kilometres from Évora, UNESCO World Heritage city. In Arraiolos rests this boutique hotel, Villa Extramuros, with marvellous interiors. The basic formula: white backgrounds, and let colours speak their language - red and black mostly (almost De Stijl). No margin for errors as it would be expected when praising the surrounding haven, which is gorgeous.

Inga Powilleit Photography

The Binnenkomer collection by Inga Powilleit is absolutely stunning. It adds so much more to the interiors perception by placing their respective owners. Inga is really talented with interior photography. Every shot looks carefully planned and the final results are impeccable. Totally worth it to fiddle around her website.

Two Two Six

Ilse Crawford is an old favourite around here, and we're craving for more new work. While we wait, we can only drool over these images. Notice how small the spaces are, in reality, while it still manages to look grand and with imposing classicism, in these new Hong Kong apartments.

Speckles of Green

Love the invasion of green. Contained yet somehow beautifully cluttered with those little vases of nature.

Cold Beach

Who wouldn't love to have a beach house?!... Beautiful compositions on this one, in Cornwall. We can't stop thinking that the pallette could be a little extented, but it's still incredibly pleasant to the eye.

Beautiful chairs designed by mexican studio MOB. They managed to pull out a well balanced and cozy look out of a rational design.

The First Post

Here it is, the first post! We are really glad to open this up to the world to share and contribute.

Let's introduce ourselves... We are a couple living near Aveiro, Portugal. We're in love with each other, and with interiors, everything related with our habitat and routines. Namely our home interiors, commercial interiors, urbanscapes, landscapes, the objects we interact with everyday, and all things related. We believe that a cleverly considered design will contaminate our lives in a more positive way.

So we will do our best to find what we consider to be the best examples around the webglobe. Dissect some important issues about them. And with all this, we hope you'll find enough valuable information that you can use in your own way, in your own life.

So we called our blog Beautiful Object. It just happened! We just love beautiful objects! And it also happens to be a beautiful music from Glass Candy, a band we love! We'll leave you with that too...

Welcome! Get inspired!
