Chalk Wall

The Smitten Studio of Sarah Samuel, with a great view on black slate. You might consider it a somewhat risky investment, because you must also embrace the fact that chalk dust can be tricky to clean, and accept it as a decor asset.

In this case in particular, we love the way how this was applied as another regular black wall, that can be used to make contrast with art, plus the bonus of... Writing! Also, you can't miss the fact that matte is sexy. Browse through these pictures and see by yourself why this new black can be so charming.

NY With a French Twist

That essencial soft pink!

Today it's NY! Let's go to Brooklyn, take a look at this dreamy apartment with a delicious french touch. Every detail is great in a way that it delivers something elegant but also a strong, bold confidence, with a good sense of opportunity, and it's a nice collection of good decor pieces.

We absolutely love the black room (after the jump). The nice contrasts with the white tables, decorative mirrors, jars... And everything in its rightful place.
