The Comfy Headquarters

We love the practice of Ábaton, a madrilenian studio. Perfectly humble housings, delivers more of the content than the "structure", and we more than agree! This is their showroom designed to represent their vision, and it's also their office, down in the basement. But it's the social spaces that surprised us! The white is there, decor is sculptural, and beautiful points of colour that enlivens the spaces. Check it out!

Hat tip to Madrid

Check out this paraphernalia of textures! This is what we love the most about latin interiors: the extroverted style in the usage of colour and pattern. Makes it all so welcoming and much more happy.

This is the house of a madrileño hat designer, you can see a couple of hats around. It's zero-shame when combining two similar patterns, with the same exact colours (see those zebra patterns). There's a powerful sense of placement and fluctuation between the mediums and all is decor, the books, the cut-outs, frames Vs sticked-papers-on-the-wall, eclectic furniture, savage plants, dead birds... One rule: make it count!

Pretty in Pink

Fuck-yeah-pink! Right next to Barcelona, old and new becomes one cozy dwelling for a young couple and respective sprouts. All that the architects had to do was to add a second floor, and the road was paved for a well-paced interior goodness.

Contrast wins in every perspective, mainly between the slices of old and new textures. And this is the key for a more interesting house, one that needs to be fresh and open to updates. As you'll browse, you'll notice how such pink freaks the owners are, and maybe it's just because it makes it all more fun and pleasurable for life. Have a pink weekend!
